About the role

GEMS Al Barsha National School in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an enthusiastic Business Studies Teacher to join the team in August 2026. The role involves delivering the National Curriculum for England while integrating UAE national values, identity and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality Business Studies lessons for students of varying abilities.
• Assess, record and report student progress, using data to inform planning and differentiation.
• Maintain an inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners and promotes academic excellence.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative schemes of work and share best practice.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student achievement.
• Participate in departmental meetings, professional development and co‑curricular activities.
• Uphold GEMS Education’s core values and contribute to school events and enrichment programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a closely related field.
• Recognised teaching qualification or licence (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Creative and skilled classroom practitioner with high expectations for student achievement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reflective approach to teaching and continuous professional development.
