Teaching Assistant – Classroom Support

About the role

Join GEMS Education as a Teaching Assistant and support teachers in delivering high‑quality learning experiences. You will work closely with class teachers to address students' developmental needs and ensure a smooth classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher with student development, providing feedback and following instructions.
• Run small‑group activities inside or outside the classroom as directed.
• Prepare, tidy, and set up classroom activities and displays.
• Photocopy documents, prepare worksheets, and manage classroom resources.
• Cover classes for short periods during emergencies, planned absences, or release time.
• Support children with toileting, changing, and cleaning when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GEMS policies, procedures, and codes of conduct.

Required profile

• High School Certificate or higher (Bachelors in Education or other discipline preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience as a Teaching Assistant.
• Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and relate well to children and colleagues.

Required skills

• Good level of general education in Math and English.
• ICT skills (basic computer and software proficiency).
