Team Lead Investor Relations

About the role

Pairs is a vetted private capital network that connects founders with family offices, VCs and strategic investors, and is paid by the founder rather than by the round. It is looking for a Team Lead Investor Relations to lead a team of five associates, reporting directly to both founders. The role is fully remote, with a few hours of overlap with US Eastern time.

Key responsibilities

• Set the week's priorities, targets and support needs with the team, and hold weekly 1:1s with each associate.
• Review wins and losses on Fridays and share the results with the founders.
• Own the results: mandate calls, activations, pitches, founder calls and referrals.
• Guide how each associate grows, with clear goals, honest feedback and a development plan.
• Hire and onboard new team members as the team grows.
• Run the standard: if you would not put your name on an introduction, it does not go out.

Required profile

• Has led a team before, ideally around five people, and the people you led say you made them better.
• Background in investment: family office, VC, growth fund, investment bank, or capital raising for private companies.
• Knows how family offices decide and what leads them to take a founder call.
• Can run a call yourself; hard, kind feedback comes early and the standard does not move.

Required skills

• Investment-side experience (family office, VC, growth fund, investment bank or capital raising).
• Ability to coach and manage a small team.

What we offer

• Total compensation of US$200K to US$300K.
• Fully remote work with a few hours of overlap with US Eastern time.
