Team Leader - Direct Procurement

About the role

Julphar is looking for a Team Leader – Direct Procurement to oversee the creation and validation of purchase orders for pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products. The role ensures that all purchases align with the approved vendor list, meet quality specifications, and are delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Create and validate purchase orders for raw materials, commercial items, and finished products.
• Negotiate purchase terms and evaluate supplier performance.
• Monitor day‑to‑day purchase requisitions and deliveries across the department.
• Resolve supply issues, discrepancies, and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Report procurement key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain compliance with product specifications and internal procurement policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science.
• Minimum 5 years of supply chain or procurement experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong negotiation and solution‑focused mindset.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask and adapt to process changes.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience using SAP.
• Ability to work with data analysis tools and techniques.
