Team Leader, Geosteering (RNS)

About the role

The Team Leader, Geosteering (RNS) manages a team of engineers who provide reservoir navigation and geosteering support to operational sites, ensuring drilling operations are carried out successfully in line with the well prognosis and plan.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise technical support for reservoir navigation/geosteering operations, including pre- and post-well 2D interpretation and modeling, and log production and quality control.
• Provide technical advice and guidance on reservoir navigation and geosteering operations.
• Manage and approve service contracts, including quarterly allocation of services to contractors.
• Secure additional services needed for expansion of work, such as new rigs, new fields and special projects.
• Monitor contractor performance and allocate services according to market share and capabilities.
• Supervise the introduction of new geosteering/RNS technologies and manage special projects as assigned.
• Comply with UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client asset integrity management codes of practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Geosciences or a related earth science discipline.
• 8 years of experience in drilling services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a drive for results.
