Technical Architect – Data Center & Complex Facilities

About the role

HDR is seeking a Technical Architect to lead the planning, design, and documentation of data‑center, mission‑critical, and other complex facility projects in Dubai. The role combines BIM modelling, multidisciplinary coordination, and architectural expertise to deliver high‑quality, compliant building solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, design, documentation, and coordination of data‑center and mission‑critical projects.
• Develop and maintain BIM models using Autodesk Revit in line with project standards.
• Produce coordinated drawings, schedules, details, and construction documents from BIM models.
• Coordinate architectural models with structural, MEP, civil, and specialist disciplines.
• Participate in multidisciplinary BIM coordination, resolve design clashes, and support building envelope and interior layout activities.
• Prepare architectural reports, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Support quality, drawing, and compliance reviews and attend design, client, and project workshops.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across offices and take responsibility for assigned project phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience.
• Registered Architect.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
• Strong leadership, communication, and relationship‑management abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit and familiar with related BIM tools.
• Demonstrated graphic presentation skills and experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
