Technical Due Diligence Intern – Renewable Energy Advisory

About the role

UL Solutions Renewables is looking for a Technical Due Diligence Intern to support project managers and technical teams on renewable energy projects. The internship is based in Dubai with a hybrid working model, offering hands‑on experience in project coordination, planning, reporting and technical review of wind, solar PV and BESS projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with day‑to‑day TA project tasks, including scope, schedule and budget tracking.
• Prepare proposals covering scope of work, team composition, budget and schedule.
• Participate in client meetings and conference calls, tracking action items and follow‑ups.
• Review electrical and civil design documents, construction schedules, and CAPEX/OPEX costs.
• Identify project risks and suggest mitigation measures while working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support the preparation of technical review, construction monitoring and operational assessment reports.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and development of AI‑enabled tools for project delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Telecommunication, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Interest in project management and renewable energy (wind, solar PV, BESS).
• Fluent in English; French or other languages are a plus.
• Proactive attitude, ability to work under tight deadlines and strong interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of SCADA systems.
• Understanding of power system basics, including substations, grid connection and protection.
• Experience reviewing electrical and civil design documents.
• Familiarity with CAPEX and OPEX cost analysis.
