Technical Insurance Manager

About the role

The Technical Insurance Manager is responsible for the end‑to‑end placement of Property & Casualty and specialty insurance risks in the direct market. Reporting to the Technical Director, the role supports Client Partners on technical queries, client meetings and maintains strong insurer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full placement process for P&C and specialty risks in the direct market.
• Prepare and present risk submissions for new and renewal business, negotiating terms, pricing and conditions with insurers.
• Monitor insurer appetite and market trends to formulate placement strategies and advise clients.
• Maintain and develop relationships with direct market insurers, underwriters and market contacts.
• Apply working knowledge of reinsurance markets where facultative or reinsurance‑backed capacity is required.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in insurance placement, preferably in P&C and specialty lines.
• Strong analytical abilities and commercial acumen to assess risk and negotiate effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to support client partners and interact with insurers.
• Knowledge of reinsurance markets is a distinct advantage.
