Technical Manager – Photovoltaic (PV)

About the role

Masdar is seeking a Technical Manager to lead and manage technical and techno‑economic analyses, design aspects and project management for its photovoltaic (PV) projects. The role involves strategic planning, resource allocation and ensuring alignment with organisational goals throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical and techno‑economic analyses for PV projects, including design and performance evaluation.
• Prepare and agree on project specifications, budgets and timelines with contractors, clients and other stakeholders.
• Define basic design concepts and review test procedures for PV plant components such as foundations, modules and converters.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to integrated project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (MSc or graduate degree is an asset).
• 6–8 years of experience in the PV industry, preferably with an IPP, EPC, engineering firm or technical consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of PV market players and PV components.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced and diverse environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PVSys software.
• Experience using AutoCAD for design work.
• Knowledge of battery storage systems and their integration with PV.
