Technical Planner – Video & Event Production

About the role

As a member of the Design & Engineering team, you will lead the technical planning, design and documentation of video systems for event production projects. You will translate creative concepts and operational briefs into practical, installable video solutions that support seamless on‑site delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and design video systems from concept through tender, detailed design, installation and hand‑over.
• Create 2D and 3D Vectorworks drawings covering LED screens, projection, displays, equipment placement, cable routes and technical infrastructure.
• Prepare signal‑flow diagrams, equipment specifications, schematics and patching documentation.
• Coordinate video designs with audio, lighting and rigging disciplines and resolve technical clashes.
• Review venue and architectural drawings to identify constraints, risks and integration requirements.
• Support equipment lists, scope of work, supplier specifications and tender inputs.
• Assist installation, configuration, commissioning, rehearsals and on‑site delivery as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in video system design for live events or similar productions.
• Strong ability to interpret creative briefs and translate them into technically sound solutions.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation throughout project phases.
