Technical Sales Engineer - Pump

About the role

A recruitment consultancy is hiring a Technical Sales Engineer for a leading building materials company based in Dubai, UAE. The role covers the water treatment and swimming pool segments, combining technical pump expertise with sales to end users, contractors and consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate pump features, benefits and applications to end users, contractors and consultants in the water treatment and swimming pool segments
• Understand customer requirements (flow rate, head, fluid type, temperature, viscosity) and recommend suitable pump types, such as centrifugal and positive displacement pumps
• Perform pump sizing, head calculations, NPSH analysis and pump selection using manufacturer software
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, quotations and bid documents
• Troubleshoot pump performance issues, recommend modifications and provide technical support during installation and commissioning
• Build relationships with customers and partners to identify business opportunities and achieve sales targets

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Minimum 8-15 years of experience in pump sales
• Minimum 2-4 years of UAE experience selling pumps to end users, contractors and consultants
• Strong technical knowledge of pumps, water treatment systems and swimming pool applications
• Valid UAE driving licence
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer relationship management skills
