Technical Shop Support Engineer III

About the role

Join the Engine Maintenance Centre in Dubai, a state‑of‑the‑art facility delivering MRO services for Emirates’ fleet engines. As a Technical Shop Support Engineer III you will ensure engine shop visits are executed safely, efficiently and in line with OEM and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review airline work scopes, provide feedback, and verify correctness against repair specifications.
• Prepare and approve internal work scopes, task cards in the IFS ERP system, and supervise their distribution to the shop floor.
• Provide continuous technical support for disassembly, inspection, repair, tooling, assembly and testing activities.
• Coordinate with engine manufacturers for troubleshooting and technical assistance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory documents, MOE, EPM and SOPs, and manage revisions of manuals and service bulletins.
• Support reconciliation of shop visit reports and invoices with Finance and oversee engine release documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, including at least 3 years in technical support.
• Degree or Honours in Aeronautical, Avionics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence held for 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of engine systems, service bulletins and airworthiness directives.
• Proven ability to analyse technical information and implement cost‑effective solutions.

Required skills

• Engine work scoping and job instruction authoring.
• Proficiency with IFS ERP system for task‑card creation.
• Technical documentation review (engine manuals, service bulletins, ADs).
• Technical support for engine disassembly, inspection, repair and testing.
