Technician I-C – Instrument & Control Maintenance

About the role

The Technician I-C is responsible for preventive, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance of plant instrumentation, process monitoring, control and protective equipment. The role ensures reliable operation of all equipment through scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs and plant shutdown activities.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and preventive maintenance, repair and testing of instrumentation and control equipment in line with SOPs.
• Perform field and system modifications of control loops and update related plant drawings.
• Participate in scheduled and unscheduled plant shutdowns, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
• Inspect equipment, identify developing problems and report issues.
• Collect technical data and contribute to progress reports and method statements.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or secondary school certificate with a vocational trade certificate in a relevant field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in instrument and control maintenance.
• Ability to work in an A/C environment and occasional outdoor conditions (heat, humidity, dust).

Required skills

• Preventive and corrective maintenance of process control instruments.
• Calibration, testing and troubleshooting of relay logic and control systems.
• Field modifications of control elements and updating of plant drawings.
• Knowledge of safety, HSE procedures and compliance with ADNOC Code of Practices.
