Technician - Renk Gearbox Assembly

About the role

AMS Group is hiring a Technician - Renk for its expert workshop team in Abu Dhabi, working on-site in an on-site environment. You will ensure the precise assembly and disassembly of highly complex gearboxes, collaborating closely with colleagues starting October 2026. The role suits technicians with direct experience in gearboxes or automotive product assembly, repair and servicing.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble high-precision gearboxes according to engineering standards.
• Service gearboxes while following proper procedures and scope of work.
• Communicate closely with the project lead to address open issues promptly and professionally.
• Read and interpret section drawings, hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and assembly/service lists using computer software.
• Ensure safety protocols and processes are always followed.
• Collaborate with peers to achieve team objectives.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or completed vocational training as a technician (e.g. mechatronics or automotive technician).
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical repair, preferably with gearboxes or automotive products.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical assembly and disassembly.
• Strong English for reading, writing and verbal communication.
• Nice to have: prior experience with RENK products or similar gearbox manufacturers, familiarity with advanced diagnostic and measurement tools, and experience in the Middle East.

Required skills

• Thorough understanding of mechanical components and assembly tools.
• Ability to interpret section drawings and hydraulic schematics.
• Basic PC skills with MS Word, Excel and documentation tools.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and follow safety standards.
