Technology Solutions Specialist – Defense Market

About the role

The Business Solution Specialist will act as the subject‑matter expert for defense‑related technology solutions, identifying the most compliant and competitive suppliers for complex projects. The role bridges client requirements, supplier capabilities, and internal stakeholders to deliver cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess client RFP technical requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Identify, qualify and evaluate suppliers that meet stringent defense standards.
• Conduct technical reviews, perform bid analysis and support sourcing strategies with the procurement team.
• Collaborate with business development, bid managers and contract owners to align technical specifications.
• Maintain regular supplier meetings, monitor market trends and attend industry exhibitions.
• Track and report progress through bi‑weekly, quarterly and yearly tracker sheets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the defense industry, technical sourcing or solution management.
• Strong knowledge of defense products such as weapons, missiles, UAVs, radars and electro‑optical systems.
• Proven experience in supplier evaluation, technical bid analysis and sourcing.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Willingness to travel for supplier meetings and industry events.
