Technology Supplier & Cost Management Specialist

About the role

The Technology Supplier & Cost Management Specialist drives governance of technology spend, supplier performance and cost optimisation across Etihad’s Digital Technology & Innovation portfolio. Working closely with Technology, Finance, Procurement and Business teams, the role ensures transparency, maximises value from investments and delivers sustainable savings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end visibility and governance of technology expenditure across software, cloud, infrastructure, telecom, managed services and professional services.
• Develop and maintain spend forecasts, financial models, dashboards and executive reports to support budgeting and decision‑making.
• Partner with Technology and Finance to support annual budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation and financial planning.
• Build business cases and commercial evaluations (TCO, ROI, NPV, IRR, payback) for technology investments.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals and supplier management to optimise value and service performance.
• Establish supplier governance frameworks and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Identify and execute cost‑optimisation initiatives across software licensing, cloud services, infrastructure and managed services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience in Technology Finance, IT Commercial Management, Vendor Management or Strategic Sourcing.
• Proven track record managing large technology spend portfolios and delivering measurable cost optimisation.
• Experience in large enterprise environments with technology procurement, software licensing, cloud and infrastructure cost management.
• Strong analytical, commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (financial modelling, forecasting, Power Query, Pivot Tables).
• Power BI (experience desirable).
