TechOps Engineer - Azure & RHEL

About the role

Fanatics Momentum is building the UAE's leading regulated commercial gaming operator, licensed by the GCGRA, covering lottery, iGaming, sportsbook and digital content. It is looking for a TechOps Engineer to operate, stabilize and modernize its Azure-hosted platforms (Java/Spring Boot microservices on RHEL). The role covers 24/7 operations, incident management, hands-on troubleshooting and security remediation, and helps build a codified platform with Terraform, GitHub Actions, Ansible and a centralized ELK stack.

Key responsibilities

• Build and support Azure environments; administer RHEL hands-on (hardening, patching, tuning)
• Escalate L2/L3 incidents, drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes
• Debug across OS, network, middleware, JVM and database using logs, metrics, thread/heap dumps and packet captures
• Support Java/Spring Boot microservices and their middleware, diagnosing JVM issues (memory, GC, threads, latency)
• Remediate security vulnerabilities across OS, middleware and cloud, and work with Security/SOC/NOC on incident response and post-incident reviews
• Deliver changes as code: infrastructure in Terraform, deployments via GitHub Actions running Ansible
• Help build and run a centralized ELK logging and observability platform
• Own backup, restore testing and DR failover readiness; participate in 24/7 on-call rotation
• Manage incidents, problems and changes via Jira Service Management, maintain runbooks, dashboards and documentation

Required profile

• 8+ years in TechOps, Infrastructure, SRE or Production Operations
• Strong hands-on Azure and RHEL experience in production
• Proven support of Java microservices and middleware in production
• Advanced Elasticsearch and JVM observability skills
• Hands-on Terraform, GitHub Actions and Ansible; Python/Bash scripting
• Incident management and RCA capability; ITIL familiarity
• Comfortable with 24/7 operations and strong communication
• Plus: experience in regulated gaming environments
