Telecommunications Agent / Telephone Operator

About the role

Join the hospitality team at Rixos Bab Al Bahr, a five‑star beachfront resort on Al Marjan Island, as a Telecommunications Agent. You will be the first point of contact for guests calling the resort, delivering the high‑standard service expected of a luxury brand.

Key responsibilities

• Answer all incoming and internal calls promptly and professionally, following luxury service standards.
• Provide accurate information about resort facilities, dining options, events, and operating hours.
• Route guest requests to the appropriate department (Housekeeping, Front Office, Concierge, Engineering, etc.).
• Manage wake‑up call requests and ensure timely execution.
• Handle emergency calls calmly and follow safety and security procedures.
• Log guest requests, complaints, and follow‑ups in the system for timely resolution.
• Support VIP guests and special requests in coordination with Front Office and Guest Services.
• Operate the hotel’s PBX telephone system, ensuring correct call routing and handling international calls.

Required profile

• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
• Polite, pleasant voice with a professional telephone manner.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
• Calm, courteous demeanor under pressure, especially during peak periods or special events.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PBX telephone systems.
