Tendering Engineer – Electrical Panels & Switchgear

About the role

We are looking for a Tendering Engineer to lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for electrical panels and switchgear solutions. The role involves analysing customer requirements, estimating costs, and ensuring compliance with project specifications to deliver competitive bids.

Key responsibilities

• Review RFQs, ITTs, EPC inquiries and technical documents such as single‑line diagrams, load lists and datasheets.
• Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for LV switchgear, MCCs, PCCs, distribution boards, capacitor banks, VFD panels, synchronization and control panels.
• Develop cost estimates and Bills of Materials, coordinate with procurement and vendors to obtain quotations.
• Conduct technical compliance checks against customer, consultant, utility and international standards.
• Identify technical risks, raise clarifications and participate in bid clarification meetings.
• Collaborate with sales, design, procurement and engineering teams throughout the tendering process and support post‑award handover.
• Maintain tender records, estimation files and prepare bid status reports for management.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of electrical distribution equipment and standards.
• Experience in preparing tender documents and cost estimations for power‑related projects.
• Ability to analyse technical specifications and translate them into accurate proposals.
• Excellent coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
