Terminal Officer

About the role

Responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and customer‑focused operation of a ferry terminal, including vessel docking, passenger and vehicle boarding, ticketing, and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure smooth daily ferry terminal operations according to schedules and SOPs.
• Monitor terminal readiness and coordinate with ferry crew, ticketing, security, and HSE teams.
• Supervise safe embarkation and disembarkation, assist elderly, POD passengers, and handle inquiries.
• Manage vehicle queuing, staging, and marshalling, enforcing loading limits.
• Enforce HSE, IMS, and ISPS requirements and monitor for hazards.
• Act as first responder during incidents and prepare incident and operational reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of customer service or transportation‑related experience.
• Physically able to lift/pull mooring lines up to 75 lbs and work in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Arabic knowledge preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving and ability to work under pressure.
