Theoretical Knowledge Instructor – Aviation Training

About the role

Etihad Aviation Training is seeking a Theoretical Knowledge Instructor to deliver high‑quality theoretical training for student pilots, flight crew, instructors and examiners. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and Etihad’s training standards while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver theoretical knowledge training in line with regulatory requirements, approved syllabi and Etihad standards.
• Conduct courses supporting licensing, qualification and development of pilots, crew, instructors and examiners.
• Maintain instructional effectiveness, standardisation and training quality across multiple aviation subjects.
• Monitor trainee performance, provide feedback and intervene when performance concerns arise.
• Maintain accurate training records, reports and documentation in compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support Etihad’s Safety Management System.

Required profile

• College degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering theoretical knowledge instruction, preferably within an EASA or GCAA‑approved ATO.
• Operational knowledge of aviation subjects to be taught and meets GCAA regulatory requirements (CAR‑FCL, CAR‑ORA).
• Holding or previously holding a professional pilot licence is advantageous.
