About the role
The Traffic Management Specialist coordinates port handling and inland transportation activities, ensuring cargo is delivered and received efficiently at commercial and military seaports and airports.
Key responsibilities
- Receive inbound cargo manifests, prepare tasking folders, purchase requests, customs clearance documents, and update the Transportation Management System.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound cargo processing with subcontractors, track shipments, and ensure proper invoicing.
- Determine optimal transportation modes, liaise with seaport/airport authorities, shipping agents, and internal customers.
- Perform quality assurance as the designated work monitor to ensure subcontractor compliance with contract requirements.
Required profile
- Excellent organizational skills and intermediate proficiency in English (read, write, speak).
- Valid home‑country driver’s license with ability to obtain a host‑nation license; ability to operate material handling equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; physically capable of lifting/pushing/pulling at least 50 lb and working outdoors.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Windows Operating System.
- Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
