About the role
The Trainee Pharmacist will support the pharmacy team by preparing prescriptions, labeling medications, and assisting the pharmacist with daily operations at Royal Hospital Sharjah. This position focuses on ensuring medication safety, regulatory compliance, and effective inventory management.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist by filling physician orders, typing labels, and performing related duties.
- Prepare prescriptions for dispensing and support pharmacists in daily tasks.
- Follow departmental policies, MOH regulations, and corporate procedures to maintain quality and compliance.
- Maintain pharmacy records, monitor stock levels, and update the computerized inventory system.
- Track near‑expiry or expired items and dispose of them according to policy.
- Ensure proper storage of medicines by category and perform counting, measuring, and weighing of drugs.
- Report medication shortages to the pharmacist and uphold patient confidentiality.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
- Ability to understand and work according to corporate policies and procedures.
