Treasury Accountant - Head Office

About the role

Fundamental Hospitality is hiring a Treasury Accountant for its Head Office in DIFC, Dubai. The role suits a finance professional with hands-on experience in treasury operations and banking processes, working closely with banks and banking relationship managers on day-to-day banking, payment processing, cash flow and account administration.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with banks and relationship managers, handle account openings, maintenance, payment instructions and documentation, and follow up on queries, transfers and confirmations.
• Process domestic and international payments, verify requests against approved documentation and limits, keep payment records and verify supplier bank details.
• Manage company card funding and the Head Office petty cash, including reconciliations and record keeping.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts, monitor cash balances, maintain the post-dated cheques register and flag cash shortages or surpluses.
• Keep KYC documentation up to date for bank accounts and ensure banking activities meet regulatory and internal requirements.
• Prepare regular reports on cash positions, bank balances and payment activity for management.
• Identify financial and operational risks such as payment fraud, follow internal controls and keep sensitive financial data confidential.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 1-2 years of UAE experience in a similar role, ideally in hospitality.
• Previous experience in treasury, banking operations or a similar finance role.
• Experience dealing directly with banks and banking relationship managers, with established banking contacts.

Required skills

• Good understanding of banking procedures, payment processes and treasury operations.
• Knowledge of bank account administration, KYC documentation and domestic and international transfers.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and good communication and coordination skills.
