UAE Paralegal - Support Lawyer, Transactional (Banking)

About the role

Linklaters is hiring a UAE Paralegal / Support Lawyer for its transactional banking practice in Dubai. The role delivers and assists others in delivering transactional work on instruction from the Practice, working with the Practice and Business Services functions to meet client-led deadlines. It supports the UAE office first, and can provide global matter support when needed as part of the global MO team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and assist others in delivering transactional matter work in English and Arabic where required
• Keep the Paralegals & Support Lawyers management team informed of tasks and projects outside the UAE, their delivery approach, and capacity and availability
• Manage and generate future workflow, anticipate changing client instructions and monitor your own performance
• Stay up to date with developments and share knowledge; use approved legal AI and document review tools in line with firm policy
• Act as end user and administrator of IT solutions such as virtual data rooms, the internal extranet and intranet
• Assist the Practice in the smooth running of matters, liaising professionally with lawyers and clients
• Work across all Matter Optimisation teams and at external client sites as required

Required profile

• LPC / SQE qualification or foreign lawyer qualification
• 2 years' experience as a Banking Paralegal in an international law firm or leading financial institution
• Experience supporting banking and finance transactions, including document management, due diligence and transaction execution
• Fluent Arabic and English, written and spoken
• Exposure to international or Middle East / Dubai matters is advantageous
