UAV Assembly Technician

About the role

ARENGY is seeking a hands‑on UAV Assembly Technician to join a fast‑growing aerospace company in Abu Dhabi. The role is ideal for candidates passionate about drones, electronics, and mechanical systems who want to build and test advanced UAV platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble carbon‑fiber and composite drone frames, landing gear, and payload systems.
• Install motors, ESCs, flight controllers, GPS modules, FPV equipment and power distribution units.
• Solder power cables, connectors, signal wires and create wiring harnesses.
• Perform continuity checks, visual inspections and basic bench testing.
• Support prototyping, component installation and mechanical modifications.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe workshop environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma; technical or vocational training in electronics, mechanics or mechatronics is a plus.
• Practical, hands‑on experience with drones, RC models, electronics or robotics through work, projects or hobbies.
• Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Problem‑solving mindset and ability to work accurately with small components.

Required skills

• Soldering and wiring of electronic components.
• Use of multimeters, wire strippers, screwdrivers, calipers and hex keys.
• Assembly of carbon‑fiber/composite structures.
• Installation of motors, ESCs, flight controllers and GPS modules.
• Basic knowledge of FPV equipment and power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as Fusion 360 or SolidWorks (nice to have).
• Experience with 3D printing, firmware flashing and drone configuration software (ArduPilot, PX4, Betaflight, INAV) (nice to have).
• Drone pilot certification (nice to have).
