UI/UX Lead

About the role

Softspace (ASICO) is looking for a UI/UX Lead to shape intuitive, engaging digital experiences across web and mobile products. This is a hands-on leadership role in the Marketing department, based on site in Dubai, where you will lead the design process from research and discovery through polished interfaces and implementation, working closely with product managers, developers and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process, including research, user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes and final interface designs.
• Translate user needs and business requirements into practical design solutions and establish a consistent design direction across products and projects.
• Build and maintain reusable design systems, component libraries and design guidelines.
• Plan and run user interviews, usability testing and design validation.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define requirements, assess feasibility and deliver high-quality experiences.
• Mentor designers, give constructive feedback and hold regular design reviews.
• Create design specifications and support developers during implementation, advocating for accessibility, responsive design and consistent interactions.
• Use research, feedback and product data to improve existing experiences, present design decisions to teams, clients and stakeholders, and manage priorities, timelines and deliverables across projects.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional UI/UX or product design experience, with experience leading a design team or major design initiatives.
• A strong portfolio showing end-to-end design work, problem solving and contribution to outcomes.
• Experience designing responsive web applications and mobile experiences.
• Experience collaborating with developers and working within Agile delivery teams.
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to balance user needs, business goals, technical constraints and delivery timelines.

Required skills

• Advanced Figma, including components, auto layout, prototyping and design systems.
• Interaction design, visual design, typography, layout and information architecture.
• User research, usability testing and accessibility principles.

Nice to have: SaaS, enterprise or multi-client project experience; HTML, CSS and front-end familiarity; analytics and experimentation; multilingual interfaces including Arabic and right-to-left layouts.
