Urban Planner & Regional Development Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a strategic Urban Planner and Regional Development Analyst to support sustainable urban growth and regional development initiatives. The role combines spatial analysis, demographic research, and economic assessment to shape evidence‑based planning policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop urban planning strategies, regional development frameworks and land‑use plans aligned with long‑term growth objectives.
• Analyse population distribution, housing demand, economic indicators and infrastructure capacity using GIS and spatial data.
• Prepare zoning recommendations, development proposals, technical reports and GIS visualisations.
• Assess land suitability, evaluate development projects and identify opportunities for regeneration, brownfield redevelopment and transit‑oriented development.
• Coordinate stakeholder consultations, public engagement sessions and multidisciplinary project teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Urban Planning, Geography, Regional Development, Economics or a related field.
• Relevant professional experience in urban or regional planning, land‑use analysis or economic development.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex datasets and produce evidence‑based recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder interaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
