Senior Market Intelligence & Planning Specialist (UAE National)

About the role

A project-based position in Abu Dhabi for a Senior Market Intelligence & Planning Specialist working with an Abu Dhabi government entity in the real estate sector. The role produces forward-looking market views, supports development and planning assessments, and writes executive-ready narratives that inform leadership, regulatory and sector decisions. It is open to UAE Nationals only.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse supply, demand, prices, rents and transactions by area and asset class, interpreting drivers, risks and opportunities
• Produce periodic market reports, commentary and executive intelligence products
• Own the methodology and interpretation of real estate market indices
• Benchmark Abu Dhabi against regional and global markets, and assess investor and occupier demand trends
• Develop and maintain market forecasts, scenarios and planning assumptions
• Assess future shortages, oversupply risks, development gaps and market needs by area, segment and asset class
• Prepare supply-demand and market-impact inputs for zoning conversions, master plan submissions and major developments
• Deliver focused studies and deep dives for leadership, presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Provide analytical guidance to the data and analytics specialist and quality-assure datasets, models and outputs

Required profile

• 8-12+ years of experience in real estate market intelligence, economics, development advisory, sector planning, research or strategy consulting
• Proven experience turning complex data into clear insights and recommendations for senior decision-makers
• Bachelor's degree in economics, real estate, finance, urban economics, urban planning, statistics, engineering or a related field; postgraduate qualification preferred
• Fluency in English required; Arabic strongly preferred
• Experience in government or semi-government, real estate development, advisory or another regulated sector preferred; GCC experience is an advantage

Required skills

• Strong understanding of supply-demand dynamics, development pipelines, market segmentation and planning considerations
• Experience developing forecasts, scenarios, executive reports and planning or development assessments
