UX Lead - Contract (Dubai Only)

About the role

Selecto is hiring a UX Lead for a specific project in Dubai, reporting to the Experience Director. The role strengthens the client's UX practice across digital products, platforms, campaigns and service-led experiences, covering user flows, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, usability reviews, research synthesis, journey mapping, design documentation and UX quality control. It is a senior hands-on role that works independently, collaborates across disciplines and guides junior talent. The timeline is 6 months with possible prolongation; the social package is not covered by Selecto.

Key responsibilities

• Translate briefs, business goals and user needs into UX direction, flows and recommendations, and define user journeys, task flows, information architecture and interaction models
• Identify usability risks, journey gaps and friction points, and contribute to experience audits and opportunity maps
• Lead day-to-day UX design: create user flows, wireframes, low- to mid-fidelity prototypes, journey maps, sitemaps and UX specifications, and partner with UI designers
• Plan and support user research (interviews, surveys, usability testing, competitor reviews) and turn findings into personas, jobs-to-be-done and journey maps
• Conduct UX reviews and usability audits of websites, apps and prototypes, and support validation plans
• Help standardise the practice with templates, checklists, playbooks and documentation standards, and support design critiques
• Review work for usability, accessibility, consistency and journey coherence, and maintain documented UX decisions and revisions
• Mentor junior designers and share knowledge across the team

Required profile

• Fluent English
• Senior hands-on practitioner able to work independently and guide junior talent
• Experience in government, charity, retail or tourism sectors
• Willingness to work in Dubai, UAE only, with possible weekly work from the client's office
