Vice President / Associate – Global Retail & Consumer Investments

About the role

Our client, a top‑10 sovereign wealth fund, is expanding its Retail & Consumer Investments team across the GCC. The firm seeks a Vice President and an Associate to originate, evaluate, and execute investments in the global retail and consumer sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, assess and execute investment opportunities across the global Retail & Consumer landscape.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, valuation, industry research and commercial due diligence.
• Build and maintain complex financial models, including operating, LBO, DCF and merger/acquisition scenarios.
• Lead transaction execution, coordinating with management teams, advisors, lenders and other stakeholders.
• Prepare investment memoranda, presentations and recommendations for senior committees.
• Monitor portfolio companies, providing strategic and financial analysis to drive value creation.
• Track market trends, competitive dynamics and emerging themes to generate actionable insights.
• Support post‑investment activities such as performance monitoring, growth strategy assessment and exit planning.

Required profile

• 7+ years (VP) or 5+ years (Associate) experience at a Tier‑1 bulge‑bracket bank, elite boutique, leading private‑equity firm or comparable investment platform.
• Demonstrated transaction experience in Retail & Consumer M&A or principal investing.
• Exposure to North American and/or European transactions is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree from a leading university with an outstanding academic record.
• Excellent analytical, valuation and communication skills.
