Vice President – Centralized Payments (UAE National)

About the role

The Vice President – Centralized Payments will lead the end‑to‑end payment function for Mashreq Group’s subsidiaries and overseas branches. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures timely, accurate and compliant processing of vendor and staff payments across the UAE and regional entities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee payments to external vendors for Mashreqbank, Osool, Injaz, MIT, Mashreq Securities, Mashreq Capital, Mashreq Al Islami Finance and branches in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.
• Drive the implementation and configuration of Oracle Payables, Fixed Assets and related modules for new entities and branches.
• Administer accounting for the Injaz subsidiary, including book‑keeping, statutory audit coordination and preparation of audited financial statements for Board approval.
• Maintain invoice processing turnaround times, ensure compliance with authority delegations and guarantee high internal‑customer satisfaction.
• Manage staff‑related cost accounting in line with HR policies, covering salaries, allowances, benefits and expense reimbursements.
• Record all transactions in Oracle Financials, HRMS, WPS, UAEFTS and I‑flex, adhering to the Accounting Policies & Procedures Manual.
• Validate payment approvals, prevent duplicate payments and ensure accurate month‑end provisions and cost allocations.
• Identify automation opportunities, develop functional specifications and lead UAT for system enhancements.

Required profile

• UAE national with deep knowledge of local banking, regulatory and payments landscape.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance and payments operations.
• Proven experience managing multi‑entity payment functions within a banking group.

Required skills

• Oracle Financials – Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger.
• HRMS, WPS, UAEFTS and I‑flex systems.
• Implementation and configuration of Oracle Payables for new entities.
• Process automation, specification writing and UAT coordination.
