Vice President, Compensation & Benefits

About the role

We are looking for a senior leader to shape Mashreq’s compensation and benefits strategy across multiple regions. The VP will drive the design, implementation and digitisation of reward programmes, ensuring they stay competitive and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the subject‑matter expert for all compensation and benefits matters within the assigned scope.
• Run pay review and bonus cycles for designated locations.
• Implement the bank’s digitisation strategy for rewards processes and improve user experience.
• Collaborate with vendors to develop scalable solutions that enhance reward journeys.
• Analyse compensation survey data and recommend changes aligned with the bank’s compensation philosophy.
• Review and update pay bands annually, providing cost impact analysis for each country.
• Initiate dipstick surveys or participate in external surveys to benchmark compensation practices.
• Provide policy consultation to business partners and leadership, ensuring uniformity across all Mashreq locations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and labour‑law requirements for compensation and benefits.
• Develop and maintain rewards policies, benefits matrices and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Document standard operating procedures for new and existing reward processes.
