VIP Waiter

About the role

FIVE Hotels and Resorts, a luxury hotel group in the UAE, is looking for a VIP Waiter to join its Food and Beverage team. The role delivers exceptional experiences to VIP guests at the group's lifestyle destinations, such as FIVE Palm Jumeirah and FIVE Jumeirah Village. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Greet VIP guests warmly on arrival and remember guest preferences, keeping accurate guest history records.
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately, considering dietary requirements and preferences.
• Present menus and make knowledgeable recommendations based on guest preferences and ingredient availability.
• Provide personalised service, anticipate needs and handle special requests, escalating concerns to the Head of Department.
• Process billing and payments while following control procedures.
• Upsell bespoke services, concepts and promotions to grow revenue.
• Help with table setup, event and party preparation and breakdown, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Work with the Food and Beverage team, attend team meetings and training sessions, and contribute to the group's sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience of 1-2 years as a VIP Waiter in a luxury hotel is a plus.
• Professional appearance meeting the hotel's grooming standards.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with English fluency; additional languages are a plus.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to take ownership of duties.

What we offer

• A fixed monthly salary of AED 2,400.
