Waiter – Premium Japanese Dining

About the role

Kasumigaseki Restaurant is seeking a Waiter to deliver warm, precise, and highly personalized service that reflects its refined Japanese hospitality. You will guide guests through a seamless dining journey, from greeting them to ensuring every detail meets the restaurant’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests with poise, warmth and attentive care.
• Present the menu, explain dishes, ingredients and Japanese dining traditions, and make thoughtful recommendations.
• Take and process orders accurately, including dietary restrictions and special requests.
• Deliver food and beverages with correct timing, presentation and table awareness, coordinating courses with the kitchen and service team.
• Check guest satisfaction discreetly, anticipate needs and resolve or escalate concerns promptly.
• Maintain expert knowledge of the menu, seasonal ingredients, beverage pairings and restaurant standards.
• Prepare and maintain assigned stations, mise en place, table settings and service equipment to immaculate standards.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, health and safety, cash‑handling and responsible‑service procedures.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a hotel, restaurant or premium dining environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of Japanese is an advantage.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable, personalized guest experiences.
• Excellent grooming, personal presentation and attention to detail.
• Collaborative, team‑oriented attitude and willingness to support colleagues.

Required skills

• Strong food and beverage service knowledge, familiarity with Japanese cuisine, sake, tea or wine is preferred.
