About the role

Viya, part of wasl Hospitality & Leisure, is hiring a Waiter/Waitress for its Food & Beverage department in Dubai. The role delivers warm, attentive and professional food and beverage service to all guests, supporting a consistent guest experience through accurate order taking, timely service, strong product knowledge and compliance with Dubai Golf service standards, hygiene requirements and operational procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, seat them, present menus and explain dishes, daily specials, promotions and suggested pairings.
• Take orders accurately, confirm dietary requirements and communicate special requests to the kitchen and bar.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, check presentation and accuracy, and handle guest needs such as refills and replacements.
• Complete daily service tasks including order taking, serving, billing, clearance, outlet setup and table resetting.
• Use the POS system correctly: open checks, enter and modify orders, close bills accurately and post items correctly.
• Prepare mise-en-place, keep stations clean and stocked, and coordinate with the kitchen and bar on service timing.
• Upsell naturally: recommend desserts, coffee, premium beverages, upgrades, add-ons, second rounds and refills.
• Maintain knowledge of menus, ingredients, allergens, beverages and club facilities, and attend tastings and training.
• Follow hygiene and food safety standards, clean spills immediately, report hazards and minimise wastage.
• Work closely with Captains, Supervisors, the kitchen, bar and colleagues, and share guest feedback and improvement ideas.
