About the role

Viya, part of wasl Hospitality & Leisure, is hiring a Waiter/Waitress for its Food & Beverage Service department in Dubai. The role reports to the Restaurant Manager, Outlet Supervisor or Captain and delivers warm, attentive and professional food and beverage service to all guests, in line with Dubai Golf service standards, hygiene requirements and operational procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, seat them, present menus and explain dishes, daily specials, promotions and suggested pairings.
• Take orders accurately, confirm dietary requirements and deliver food and drinks, checking presentation and accuracy before serving.
• Monitor guest satisfaction, handle concerns politely and escalate to the Captain/Supervisor when needed.
• Attend daily briefings, prepare mise-en-place, keep stations clean and stocked, and operate the POS system correctly.
• Set up, serve, clear and reset tables, coordinate with the kitchen and bar, and help with functions, banquets and special events.
• Maintain knowledge of menus, ingredients, allergens, beverages and club facilities, and recommend items and alternatives.
• Follow hygiene and food safety standards, report spills and hazards, and minimise wastage.
• Upsell naturally and record all items correctly on the POS.
