About the role

FIVE Hotels and Resorts is hiring a Waiter/Waitress in Dubai. The role sits within a hospitality operation and involves serving guests, taking and delivering food and beverage orders, and supporting the dining experience. The advertised compensation is a fixed monthly salary of AED 1,400.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly on arrival and remember their preferences, keeping guest history records
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately, considering dietary requirements and preferences
• Present menus and make recommendations based on guest preferences and ingredient availability
• Process billing and payments while following control procedures
• Upsell services, concepts and promotions to support revenue growth
• Assist with table setup, event and party preparation and breakdown, and help keep the dining area clean
• Follow hygiene and safety standards, including proper handling of utensils and equipment
• Escalate guest concerns to the Head of Department and work with the Food and Beverage team
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to improve product knowledge and service skills

Required profile

• Professional appearance in line with the employer's grooming standards
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus
• Previous experience of 1-2 years as a Waiter/Waitress in a luxury hotel is a plus
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
