Wealth & Retail Banking Intern (UAE Nationals) 2027

About the role

Standard Chartered offers a 10-week summer internship in its Wealth & Retail Banking programme for UAE nationals, starting in June 2027. The programme covers the bank's affluent banking segments (Private Banking, Priority Private, Priority Banking and Premium Banking) and its mass retail focus on emerging affluent clients. Interns work on real business challenges alongside colleagues across the bank's global network, with the aim of developing the skills and confidence needed for a graduate role.

Key responsibilities

• Work on real projects and meaningful responsibilities from day one, covering products, clients and the international network
• Take part in the structured induction and orientation
• Develop technical, professional and behavioural skills with support from managers, mentors and buddies
• Learn from senior leaders and industry experts, and take part in community and volunteering initiatives

Required profile

• Penultimate year student able to intern in June 2027 and start full time in July 2028
• Permanent legal right to work in the country of application; UAE nationals are eligible
• Only one application per six-month period
• Ability to take ownership, think critically, learn quickly, collaborate and adapt under pressure
