Wellness Instructor

About the role

Rixos, a luxury resort chain founded in 2000 in Turkey, is hiring a full-time Wellness Instructor in Ras Al-Khaimah. The instructor leads group fitness classes, offers personalized training and guides guests toward their health and wellness goals through fitness, nutrition and mental well-being practices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run wellness programs, including fitness classes, workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions.
• Lead and motivate individuals and groups in activities such as cardiovascular exercise, strength training, stretching, yoga, functional training and Zumba.
• Advise guests on nutrition, lifestyle changes and stress management.
• Set schedules and methods for wellness services and identify resource needs.
• Take part in setting goals, objectives, policies and procedures, and monitor compliance with them.
• Identify guest needs and recommend suitable programs, prepare periodic reports and keep records.
• Keep fitness areas and equipment clean, safe and properly maintained.
• Stay up to date with fitness and wellness trends, prepare purchase requisitions, order supplies and monitor expenditures.
• Respond to guest complaints and requests for information.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in sports science, physical education or a related field is preferred.
• Current certification in group fitness instruction, group classes or personal training from a recognized body (e.g. ACE, NASM, ACSM, AFAA).
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• Flexible to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Physically fit, able to perform rescues, stand for long periods and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Strong teamwork, discipline and professionalism under pressure, with a commitment to hygiene, safety and guest satisfaction.
