About the role
A leading private healthcare facility in Sharjah is seeking a Western‑qualified Consultant Interventional Radiologist to join its specialist radiology team. The role involves delivering high‑quality image‑guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while collaborating with multidisciplinary clinicians.
Key responsibilities
- Perform a full range of image‑guided interventional radiology procedures within approved clinical privileges.
- Assess patients, review imaging, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide pre‑procedure counselling, obtain informed consent, and conduct post‑procedure follow‑up.
- Manage procedural complications and complex clinical cases.
- Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists and other specialists in multidisciplinary care.
- Maintain accurate clinical and procedural documentation.
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, audit and CME/CPD activities.
- Support the development and expansion of the Interventional Radiology service.
Required profile
- Medical degree (MBBS/MBChB or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
- Recognised Western specialist qualification in Radiology/Interventional Radiology.
- Consultant‑level experience in a reputable hospital or tertiary‑care centre.
- Current professional registration/licence in the country of practice.
- Eligibility for UAE Consultant licensing (DHA/DOH/MOHAP as applicable).
- Excellent communication, clinical judgement and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to patient safety, evidence‑based practice and continuous professional development.
