Wheel & Brake Engineer – Aircraft Maintenance

About the role

The Wheel & Brake Engineer will be responsible for carrying out and supervising wheel and brake maintenance on Air Arabia and third‑party aircraft. The role ensures that all work is performed, certified and recorded in line with airline and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Verify compatibility and readiness of wheel and brake stock against approved standards.
• Review task cards with the Workshop Supervisor to understand priorities, documentation and safety cautions.
• Prepare and execute scheduled wheel and brake maintenance, securing required parts, tools and GSE.
• Conduct component testing and inspection to identify and record defects.
• Troubleshoot and rectify defects following approved maintenance data.
• Sign off maintenance tasks within authorised scope, ensuring documentation is complete.
• Coordinate with Engineers, Technicians and the Technical Buyer to ensure timely component replacement.
• Manage safety precautions, human‑factors considerations and use of protective equipment.
• Provide supervision and guidance to Technicians performing non‑certifying tasks.
• Represent Air Arabia professionally to flight crews, customers and external personnel.

Required profile

• Valid aircraft maintenance licence for wheel and brake work.
• Proven experience in wheel and brake maintenance on commercial aircraft.
• Ability to supervise and brief Technicians on non‑certifying tasks.
• Strong communication skills for coordination with engineering and technical teams.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to published precautions.
