Account Director - Events & Experiential Agency

About the role

A growing events and experiential agency in Dubai is looking for an experienced, commercially driven Account Director. This is a senior leadership role combining client management, business development, strategic planning and event delivery, with a structured, performance-based pathway to Chief Operating Officer. The role reports directly to the Managing Director and is full-time and permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Lead major client relationships and oversee high-profile events
• Deliver large-scale corporate and government events in the UAE/GCC
• Manage luxury brand, corporate and government clients
• Win new business and grow existing accounts
• Manage budgets, P&L, costing and gross profit targets, and lead pitches, proposals and contract negotiations
• Negotiate with suppliers and manage commercial approvals
• Produce revenue forecasts and management reports

Required profile

• 10 to 15+ years of experience in event management, experiential or brand activation agencies
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Account Director, Head of Events or similar)
• Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, Hospitality or a related field
• Fluent English (Arabic is an advantage); based in the UAE or willing to relocate immediately
• Established UAE/GCC client network and strong relationships with regional events and supplier communities

Required skills

• Financial management: budgets, P&L, costing and gross profit targets
• Leading pitches, proposals and contract negotiations
• Strategic thinking, communication with C-level and senior government stakeholders, and ability to handle multiple high-value events and clients under pressure
