Account Executive – Business Development

About the role

The Account Executive – Business Development will develop business through direct sale channels, manage the direct portfolio and provide high‑level service to expand the general insurance portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop direct sales team and other distribution channels for medical and non‑medical business lines.
• Manage the direct business portfolio and ensure high‑level client service to grow the insurance portfolio.
• Conduct product presentations internally and externally.
• Identify market trends and customer needs to recommend product or service offerings.
• Work closely with underwriters to retain existing business and acquire new business for individual and corporate accounts.
• Liaise with various channels and operational areas to ensure quality service to medical customers.
• Ensure timely collection of payments.
• Prepare and deliver scheme presentations to clients.
• Analyze internal workflow processes and implement new strategies and procedures.
• Conduct quarterly and monthly reviews with clients.

Required profile

• Graduate or 1–2 years of experience in sales or client servicing (no prior insurance experience required).
• Good command of English; bilingualism preferred.
• Behavioral strengths such as communication, cultural sensitivity, customer focus, management, problem solving and initiative.
• Relevant certifications such as BIBF Diploma in Insurance, LOMA, FLMI (optional).
