About the role
The Account Manager will combine sales and customer‑service functions to drive revenue, nurture existing client relationships, and acquire new business. This position serves as the primary liaison for strategic accounts, ensuring their needs are met while aligning with company objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of existing client accounts.
- Create and implement short‑term and long‑term account plans with clear milestones.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all account‑related issues.
- Analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
- Communicate client needs, present product value, and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on account status, forecasts, and key metrics.
- Leverage existing contracts to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to fulfill customer requests and resolve complaints.
- Identify target markets, benchmark competition, and prospect new customers.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in logistics or shipping.
- Strong business acumen and industry knowledge.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
