Account Opening Officer - WBG and IBG Customer Onboarding

About the role

ADIB Group is hiring an Account Opening Officer in Dubai (Jazfa) to support the WBG and IBG teams with customer onboarding. The role covers processing account-opening checks, maintaining related documentation and keeping the CRM workflow running on time, acting as a backup to the account opening team.

Key responsibilities

• Process account opening checks for WBG, IBG and other accounts (FI, NBFI, community, escrow, Iraq/UK related) and keep documentation in line with approved requests, time standards, authorities and operational policies.
• Maintain the CRM workflow for UAE and SRT accounts and for IBG countries, and ensure account data matches the supporting documents.
• Open Map, STI, STO, New RIMs and WBG accounts, and handle account opening cases received from ADIB Iraq and ADIB UK.
• Check cheque book issuance (AECB) and perform end-to-end account opening in AMBIT/CRM/Mosaic/Phoenix, updating MIS dashboards.
• Open internal accounts such as Map, STI, STS, STO and Vostro, and open new RIMs for IBG and CBG accounts with complete documents.
• Ensure KYC/EDD is obtained for high-risk countries; refer to GCD when compliance standards are not met.
• Investigate customer and business inquiries, resolve issues, reconcile accounts and escalate long-standing outstanding items.
• Take part in training programs, support trainees and new hires, and complete additional assignments given by line management.

Required profile

• Ability to build and sustain executive-level and internal relationships.
• Written and oral communication skills, presentation and facilitation skills, and knowledge of basic customer service principles.
• Compliance with ADIB policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

Required skills

• Basic banking knowledge, including account opening.
• Proficiency in general office systems, PC skills and MS Office products.
