Accountant (Accounts Payable & Receivable)

About the role

An experienced Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of experience is sought to join a team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role covers day-to-day accounts payable and receivable work, bank reconciliations and support of monthly closing and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Process supplier invoices, payments, customer receipts and outstanding balances
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Monitor customer collections and supplier payment schedules
• Assist with monthly closing, financial reporting and account reconciliations
• Support VAT compliance and other accounting activities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, particularly in AP, AR and bank reconciliation
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures
• Candidates currently based in the UAE are preferred

• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Accounting software and ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
