Accountant – Aircraft Accounting Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant with proven experience in aircraft accounting to manage all financial transactions related to aviation operations. The role involves maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records for aircraft operations and related expenses.
• Record and reconcile operating costs such as fuel, maintenance, landing fees, hangar charges, insurance, and crew expenses.
• Monitor fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditures for aircraft.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements and general ledger entries.
• Process accounts payable and receivable specific to aviation activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis for aircraft operations.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the aviation or aircraft sector.
• Experience with aircraft operations, maintenance, leasing or charter services.
• Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with aviation ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Knowledge of aircraft asset management and depreciation.
