Accountant – Arabic Speakers (Real Estate)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant who is fluent in Arabic to join our real‑estate team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves managing day‑to‑day financial transactions, supporting month‑end and year‑end close, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Record receipts, invoices, credit notes, journals, accruals, pre‑payments, and fixed‑asset movements in the appropriate accounts.
• Prepare monthly bank, cash‑book, corporate‑card and petty‑cash reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items.
• Maintain accounts receivable ledgers, support service‑charge billing, collections reporting and owner‑developer balance reconciliations.
• Maintain accounts payable ledgers, validate invoice support, PO/contract references, tax details and prepare supplier reconciliations.
• Prepare schedules for accruals, pre‑payments, deposits, fixed assets, inter‑company balances, VAT and other balance‑sheet accounts.
• Assist with budget‑versus‑actual reporting, cash‑position forecasts, audit schedules and variance analysis.
• Support ERP data cleansing, master‑data validation, migration, UAT and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Respond professionally to internal and external stakeholders and promptly escalate any irregularities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Part‑qualified ACCA, CMA, CPA or equivalent is an advantage.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in property or real‑estate management.
• Strong knowledge of double‑entry accounting, reconciliations, AP, AR, VAT, accruals, pre‑payments, fixed assets and month‑end close.
• Good written and spoken English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
