Accountant - Construction Industry

About the role

A diversified Main Contractor is hiring an Accountant. The role covers day-to-day accounts payable and receivable work, reconciliations and month-end and year-end closing.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger entries.
• Handle supplier invoices, Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs) and payment processing.
• Perform bank reconciliations and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Support accounts payable and receivable activities.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Coordinate with internal departments on financial documentation and support audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification such as CA, CMA, ACCA or CPA.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Mandatory experience in the construction or contracting industry (civil or MEP).
• Good English communication skills and a professional working attitude.

Required skills

• Supplier accounts, invoices, GRNs, payment processing, bank and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
